Fan Art Friday for March!

Hi Everyone,

We had a large number of submissions for March’s Fan Art Friday which made it difficult only choosing 3 winners.

Our winners, in no particular, are: Ben Ireland!

Vance Vandigriff!

Sonia!

Our winners will each be receiving a Slender: The Arrival Steam key.

Thanks to everyone who submitted their artwork for March’s Fan Art Friday. Our next Fan Art Friday will be on April 25 so make sure to submit any Slender: The Arrival artwork to contests@blueislestudios.com. by Thursday, April 24 at midnight EDT.

We can’t wait to see your artwork for April!

Thanks,

Blue Isle Studios

Hey folks,

Alex here. I wanted to give everyone an update about Slender: The Arrival Xbox 360 and PS3 editions. I will start off by saying that console versions of the game are absolutely still in progress; our small team of three is working unbelievably hard to make this happen. The bad news is that we are going to miss our first quarter launch window.

Porting a game to consoles is a lot of hard work, especially when it’s your first time doing it. This is one heck of a learning process for us as developers, and we humbly ask for your patience while we work through the porting process.

To give a status update; the new content for the game is essentially finished. We are currently working on performance optimizations to make sure the game will run smoothly. We originally designed this game for PC only, so this means that we need to go through every single asset in the game and rework or redo it entirely. As you can imagine in a game with thousands upon thousands of individual pieces, this is a lot of work. We’re getting there, slowly but surely.

We are working with our fantastic partners at Midnight City to bring you this game as soon as possible, and we’ll update you as soon as we have a more concrete release date. In the meantime, please accept our apologies for this delay.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch with me over Twitter or speak with Ashley over on our official Blue Isle Twitter account.

In the meantime, here’s a sneak peek at things to come.

All the best, Alex Tintor
